We’re excited to announce that Advanced Bone & Joint is providing telehealth services, both for your convenience and your protection during this trying time.
How a Telehealth Visit at Advanced Bone & Joint Works
Set Up Your Appointment Time
First, you will need to make an appointment for a virtual visit with your provider at a designated time, just as you would for an in-person appointment. You will receive an email or text to complete your Phreesia registration prior to your appointment. This registration is required BEFORE you have your visit with our providers.
Visit Over the Phone or by Video
At your appointment time, we will call you if you’ve chosen to have your appointment by phone.
If your visit is by video, we use Doxy.me to host telehealth conferences. You are not required to download any programs before the visit. However, prior to your virtual appointment, the Phreesia registration must be completed via the link sent. Registration is required before you enter the virtual waiting room. After registration is complete, you will then receive a link 15 minutes before appointment inviting you to join the virtual visit. Upon receipt of your invitation text/email, you will need to:
- Click the link,
- Enter your date of birth, and
- Enable camera use. This will place you into your provider’s virtual waiting room, and your provider will connect with you via video when they are ready to see you.
What to Expect During Your Telehealth Visit
Once your provider connects with you via video or telephone, your provider will discuss your needs and concerns – just as you would in-person in our office. Your provider will then determine a plan of care with you and complete any resulting orders needed to aid in your care and improvement.
Conditions that Our Practice Can Treat or Evaluate via Telehealth
Our providers will screen new patients and follow up with existing patients via telehealth virtual visits. Your provider will determine whether or not you will need to schedule an in-person appointment, but rest assured, we will perform as much of your care as possible via virtual visits.
