Karly Sheppard, FNP-BC

Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Karly Sheppard joined Advanced Bone and Joint in 2025 as a family nurse practitioner in the Ortho Urgent Care Clinic, working in collaboration with Dr. Colleen Glisson. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Karly earned her bachelor of science in Athletic Training from Southeast Missouri State in 2015. As a certified athletic trainer, she worked at various high schools throughout the St. Louis area, overseeing the evaluation and treatment of injured athletes. She then went on to obtain a bachelor of science in Nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing’s accelerated program in St. Louis in 2017. Following this, she worked as a registered nurse in multiple hospitals throughout the country, including Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Stanford University Hospital, and the University of Washington Hospital. Throughout her time as a nurse, she has worked in bone marrow transplant, oncology, surgical care, and critical care environments. In August 2024, Karly graduated with her master of science in Nursing from Purdue University.

Karly enjoys all areas of orthopedics and has a special interest in injury prevention and sports medicine. Outside of work, Karly enjoys spending time with her family, including her twins and husband.
